Last Trip in Australia- Pebbly Beach

This past weekend we took one last trip together as a family in Australia before Shannon and the girls move back to Maryland in time for the girls to start 6th and 9th grade. Sine we are about to get on a very long plane ride (two planes- 13.5 hours and 5.5 hours) we decided to stay close to Canberra for this trip.

When we went up to Mollymook beach over the summer, we came across a beach on the way that is known for having kangaroos on the beach. While we were checking it out, we noticed there were little cottages at the beach that could be rented out. We decided to return to this beach and rent one of the cottages.

Pebbly Beach is about 2.5 hours away from Canberra on the New South Wales coastline. It is famous for its kangaroos. Even without the kangaroos, it is a beautiful sandy coastline. We stayed at Pebbly Beach Escape, which offers fully refurbished 1940's cabins. The property is just really well taken care of and we had a really lovely stay here.

As it is winter, we didn't get into the water, but had a great time taking walks on the beach, checking out the kangaroos, and rock hunting. We were lucky enough to spot multiple kookaburras while we were there as well.  It was honestly the perfect weekend getaway.
